CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

"Let us not give up meeting together..."

In his letter to fellow believers of the first century Church, the writer of Hebrews implored them to, “Hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”  The writer understood it was important for believers to gather together to bring encouragement, exhortation, healing, and equipping, all in the name of Christ, for the purpose of advancing God’s kingdom work on earth.  That is why we, as Army Laborers, will gather on Labor Day.  Our unique calling is, in reality, the same calling Jesus gave his followers in the beginning and end of his earthly ministry.  He called his first disciples to “follow him and [he would] make them fishers of men.”  After his death and resurrection he gave them one last command, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”  The disciples and the first century believers obeyed.  They gathered together regularly to equip and encourage each other to “fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith."
